Engine wiring/ harness Rebuild service

Mercedes cars built between 1993 and 1995 suffer with the dreaded biodegradable Wiring  insulation within the engine harness. As these vehicles age and heat cycle, the wiring insulation breaks down, and you end up with a mess within the wiring. This can, and does lead to erratic running, and potentially engine fires.

We rebuild the harness using non biodegradable automotive wires, and OEM pins. The injector plugs are the only connectors which are still available to replace, so the other connectors are re-used. We sheath the wires using the original Mercedes sheathing (where it's still undamaged) and temperature resistant loom tape where it has been cut open. 

All of our work is tested and guaranteed for a minimum of 12 Months from delivery.

Our turnaround to rebuild the loom is between 7-14 days.

The V12 models have a lower harness which is known as the body harness. This loom is 3-4 times the size of the engine harness and usually takes over a week to remove!
